Meaning & history of the Slovenia flag
Slovenia's flag is a horizontal tricolour of white, blue and red with the coat of arms in the upper hoist. The arms depict the white peaks of Mount Triglav, the highest mountain and a national symbol, above wavy lines for the sea and rivers and three golden stars from the arms of the historic Counts of Celje. The Pan-Slavic colours date to 1848.
