Meaning & history of the Slovakia flag
Slovakia's flag is a horizontal tricolour of white, blue and red — the Pan-Slavic colours — with the national coat of arms set toward the hoist. The arms show a white double cross on three blue hills, symbolising Christianity and the mountain ranges Tatra, Fatra and Mátra. The emblem distinguishes the flag from those of Russia and Slovenia.
