Meaning & history of the Palestine flag
Palestine's flag has black, white and green horizontal bands with a red triangle at the hoist — the Pan-Arab colours drawn from the 1916 Arab Revolt banner. Black recalls the Abbasid caliphate, white the Umayyad, green the Fatimid, and the red triangle the Arab nationalist movement and the unity of the Arab peoples. It is used by Palestinians worldwide.
