Monaco is a country in Europe; its capital is Monaco. Its flag is often confused with Indonesia, Poland, Singapore.
Meaning & history of the Monaco flag
Monaco's flag is simply red over white in two equal horizontal bands, drawn from the heraldic colours of the ruling House of Grimaldi, whose arms date to the 14th century. It is one of the world's oldest national flags. Its design is nearly identical to Indonesia's, differing mainly in proportions, and to Poland's with the colours reversed.
