Meaning & history of the Indonesia flag
Indonesia's flag, the Sang Saka Merah-Putih, is simply red over white in two equal horizontal bands. Red represents courage and the human body or physical life, and white purity and the spirit or soul. The colours derive from the 13th-century Majapahit empire. The design is nearly identical to Monaco's, differing mainly in its proportions.
