Meaning & history of the Morocco flag
Morocco's flag is red with a green five-pointed 'Seal of Solomon' star centred. Red is the traditional colour of the ruling Alaouite dynasty and the sharifs of Mecca. The green interlaced pentagram, added under the French protectorate in 1915, represents Islam and the five pillars of the faith, its lines linking God and the nation.
