Nauru is a country in Oceania; its capital is Yaren.

Meaning & history of the Nauru flag

Nauru's flag is blue with a narrow horizontal gold stripe across the centre and a white twelve-pointed star below it near the hoist. The blue represents the Pacific Ocean, the gold stripe the equator, and the star Nauru's position just south of it. The star's twelve points stand for the island's twelve original tribes. It was adopted at independence in 1968.
