Malaysia's flag, the Jalur Gemilang, has 14 alternating red and white stripes with a blue canton bearing a yellow crescent and 14-point star. The stripes and star points represent the 13 states and federal government in equal partnership. Blue stands for unity, yellow for royalty, and the crescent for Islam, the state religion.
