Jamaica's flag has a golden saltire dividing the field into green (top and bottom) and black (hoist and fly) triangles. Gold represents the sunshine and the country's natural wealth, green the lush vegetation and hope, and black the strength and creativity of the people in overcoming hardship. It is the only national flag containing none of the colours red, white or blue.
