The Democratic Republic of the Congo's flag is sky blue with a red diagonal stripe fimbriated in yellow, and a yellow star in the upper hoist. Blue represents peace, red the blood of the country's martyrs, yellow the nation's wealth, and the star a bright future. The current design was adopted in 2006.
