Cambodia's flag is unique as the only national flag to depict a building: a white image of Angkor Wat, the great 12th-century temple complex, centred on a red band between two blue stripes. Angkor Wat symbolises the nation's heritage and Khmer civilisation, red the nation, and blue royalty. The design revives a flag first used in 1948.
